A famous site in Mexico, Teotihuacán, popularly known as the "City of the Gods," was an extended ancient city lying alongside what is now Mexico City. This pre-Columbian metropolis became one of the largest urban centers globally at its peak and houses some of the most impressive pyramids in Mexico. The site is dominated by the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon and has absolutely breathtaking views and a depth of mystery. This avenue of the dead, lined with ceremonial buildings, gives a sense of the great civilization that had come into existence long before the Aztecs did. This UNESCO World Heritage site offers a peek into the life of ancient people, their achievements in architecture, and the enigma left behind by their civilization.
